Day of Reckoning Approaches as Arctic Tern Project Edges Toward Launch Day

The day of recokoning--launch day--is drawing closer for The Arctic Tern Project, a DIY boat building project begun in 2004 by Peter Gron of Gabriola Island, BC, Canada.

Sail dreams turned into boards and beams when Gron erected a boat shed in the autumn of 2004 and started building his now gleaming 23' Arctic Tern sloop. Here are two recent photos. Splash day is not far away!
