Restaurants Now Open (or Will Soon Be)

Spring is here and restaurants and other eateries on Martha’s Vineyard are slowly opening. COVID-19 remains an issue and so mask wearing and social distancing are still enforced and encouraged.

See below if your favorite venue is open, or will open soon. We urge you to visit those opening now to help them start the 2021 season with gusto. For us, we are excited to see that Liz Lemon and the big chocolate chip cookies at 7a in West Tisbury have returned.

John’s Fish Market and the Black Dog Tavern in Vineyard Haven are opening in April. And so is Fat Ronnies on Circuit Ave. in Oak Bluffs which will bring back their world-class burgers, at long last. (List courtesy of  the Vineyard Gazette.

Gift Cards for When Can’t Visit

In addition to patronizing these restaurants and shops, you can also support them by buying gift cards. Martha’s Vineyard Bank is still operating its “Lift Certificates,” an online retail store offering discounted gift certificates from local small businesses that have closed due to the virus stay-at-home mandates.

MV Bank will match up to 10% of the discount offered by the participating businesses, so you get more value and give an immediate boost to local businesses. Purchase now–buy later– and everyone benefits. Go to lift.mvbank to start shopping.
